What company do you keep? And how can I invite you to curate a broader circle?
In many ways, company extends beyond the people we surround ourselves with. It is in the content we consume, the playlists on long walks, the values we defend fiercely, the perspectives we’re familiar with, the stories of our ancestors, and the way we experience ourselves.
I like to think of company as what lends to your identity, beliefs, and values. And it’s important that the company you keep evolves as you do. Never stagnant. Always in flow. The goal with this monthly column is an overshare of the Other. Something categorically different and fresh in speech, thought, and action. With a cataloguing of new perspectives and intriguing possibilities, I hope my overflowing lists–of bookmarks, saved posts, messages to self, likes, shares, and supports–will invite curiosity for more.
